Focus Dailies & Frequency 55 Discontinued

discontinued contact lens

You’ll notice we’ve disabled ordering for our Focus Dailies and Frequency 55 products:

Nooooo!  Why?

The Focus Dailies product line has now been officially discontinued by its manufacturer, Alcon (formerly Ciba Vision).   Alcon will no longer be producing new Focus Dailies contact lenses.  Any Focus Dailies products still floating around are from old stock and may not have your specific prescription available.

The same goes for Frequency 55. Its manufacturer, CooperVision, is discontinuing it (officially October 2017), but has very little stock remaining. As it is, any new orders require a manufacturing time of 2-3 weeks (prior to discontinuation date).

But what do I do now?

Alcon suggests its extremely popular Dailies Aquacomfort Plus product line as an alternative.

CooperVision has not recommended an alternative for Frequency 55.

Important: If you were using Focus Dailies or Frequency 55, we highly recommend that you get a new prescription (and a contact lens fitting) from your eye doctor before ordering, just to make sure they fit you perfectly.  Due to contact lens product lines using different materials and measurements, the same person can have varying prescriptions for different product lines.   Remember, opened contact lens boxes can no longer be returned as per our return policy. Better safe than sorry!
